Prerelease is a celebration: it's the first opportunity for our MTG community to connect with the newest Magic: The Gathering release and explore what the set has to offer. Players open a Prerelease Pack, build a 40-card Sealed deck, and try out the set for the first time in a casual tournament.

Prizing:  We'll be offering "Flat Prizing" of 2 Booster Packs per player which is 1 if you complete round 1 and a second after completing round 3.  Players who drop out before the first round will not receive any prize packs.


Pre-release is the grandest celebration of a set; it's the community’s first opportunity to get their hands on the newest Magic: The Gathering release. Pre-release Packs are the perfect product to fuel the first events of a new set release, allowing players to explore what the set has to offer and giving them everything they need to make their first deck.

Return to the iconic plane of Tarkir for an epic battle between dragons and clans. As powerful dragonstorms spiral Tarkir into chaos and wild dragons darken the skies, the five clans fight alongside their new Spirit Dragons for supremacy over the land. Discover which clan fits your playstyle with Tarkir’s distinct three-color gameplay.

Be among the first to fight dragons with dragons and play Tarkir: Dragonstorm before release day. Attend a Prerelease event starting April 4 and battle for your clan’s supremacy on Tarkir. For Tarkir: Dragonstorm, Prerelease Packs come in five versions—one for each of Tarkir’s clans—allowing you to align with your favorite or try them all across multiple events.

  • 1 Tarkir: Dragonstorm Seeded Booster
    • 14 clan-aligned cards including 1 Traditional Foil Rare or Mythic Rare
  • 5 Tarkir: Dragonstorm Play Boosters
    • Each Play Booster may contain these cards: TDM 1–286, 292–398; SPG 104–113
    • 1–4 cards of rarity Rare or higher (2: 26%; 3: 2%; 4: <1%),
    • 3–5 Uncommon cards
    • 6–9 Common cards
    • Traditional Foil Land replaces a Land in 20% of boosters.
    • 1 card of any rarity is Traditional Foil
    • Foil Borderless Mythic Planeswalker in <% of boosters
  • 1 Traditional Foil Rare or Mythic Rare
  • 1 clan-aligned deck box
  • 1 clan-aligned Spindown die

Please Note that we will not be offering "play-at-home" on this event.  We have only a limited amount of kits. Spare kits will be available after the event, assuming we do not sell out.
